Another Birthday

Here's a card for a friend - just sent in the mail so I won't reveal who yet. Again have used the pretty Hero Arts stamp for the background with Marvy Markers, Penny Black happy birthday stamp, and swirl and flower punches. Little stick on gems for the flowers.

Nik's Birthday

Nik loves purples and greens - so here is a pretty card for her birthday!! I have used a Hero Arts stamp with marvy markers to make the pretty background. The birthday stamp is from Penny Black. Plus I love using the swirl punch - makes a lovely feature on the card.
Happy Birthday Nik!!

Baby Emily

There must be something in the water at the moment. We seem to know so many people who are having babies this year!!! Our dear friends Peter and Michelle's beautiful baby girl arrived on Friday - 5 weeks early!!! We've been down to see her very happy but exhausted parents - and Michelle is getting a lot better -she had a very complicated birth. Baby Emily is perfect but so tiny!

I really enjoyed making the card for Hayley last week so I decided to go with a similar theme. I used some lovely spotty paper and pretty embellishments (punched flowers and flower stickers) with a similar stamp layout to last time. I'm pretty pleased with how this turned out.

Karen's Birthday

A pretty birthday card for my friend Karen. Very pink and girly with bright pink cardstock. I've used pink marvy markers on the Hero Arts flower stamp to create a pretty background. Stamp It sentiment in black. I've punched out some spirals in black cardstock to make the pretty curls. It's a bit hard to see in this picture but there are pretty hot pink sparkly flowers (that have self adhesive) added to the curls.

Hayley's Arrived

My friend Karen had a little girl on the 7th November. Here's the card I made to celebrate the safe arrival of Hayley Emma. Bazzil cardstock background. Image tree baby stamp. Hero Arts capital letters and Hero Arts "love" stamp. Added some pretty embellishments and punched flowers.

Congrats to Karen, David and Kirrily on the arrival of their beautiful daughter and sister!!

Spring Birthday!

Here's a card that I have made early (hard to believe I know!!) for my Mum's Birthday in early September. I thought I'd go for flowers since her birthday is at the beginning of spring - & also because I just love flower stamps!! The flower stamp that I have used in the background is from Victoria's Secret - stamped in an olive ink. I have also punched out the cardstock that I stamped this image on and used pink and olive punched flowers as well. I have added green gem to set the flowers off.

Tim's Birthday

Here's a card for my brother-in-law's birthday. I love this huge Hero Arts stamp - it's perfect for boy cards! In the background I have stamped some circle Hero Arts stamps in different sizes (some of them are very hard to see in the scanned image). All mounted on black and aqua cardstock.

Wedding Acceptance Card

Here's a wedding acceptance card for my brother-in-law's wedding. I had fun with the punches for this card. The swirl punch was pretty effective here. Have stamped the heart image with a versacolor cardinal ink. The acceptance stamp again with the cardinal ink and then a black ink for over the top.

Amanda's Birthday Card

Here's a card I made for Amanda's Birthday. It has some really pretty flowers from Hero Arts. I've used Marvy Markers for the main image and added some crystals to set the flower off. The background flowers on the purple cardstock have been stamped with a vellum pad and then chalked over with purple chalk. The script stamp on the green paper is from Stamp-It. I'm very proud of the bow - I'm finally getting the nack of tying a pretty bow!! Sorry this image is so blurry - it didn't come out that great on the scanner.

Why have there been no cards lately?

Well - the last few months have been full of excitement! We've sold our house, moved in with my parents to save money, and have bought a block of land to build on. Hopefully we will be in the new house around Christmas! So the scanner has been packed away in the move - but hopefully it will re-emerge soon so some more cards can be scanned in. Today I actually got to spend a few hours stamping - such luxury!! Have made some birthday cards and have begun work on some Mother's Day cards. Also have some 60th birthday cards, my husband's 30th birthday card, and an engagement card to make - will have to get moving on all of these!
Oh - and did I mention - I have also gone back to work full-time. So now you can see why stamping has been right down the list of priorities!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I know - I've been extremely slack posting. Just been busy busy busy!! Anyway, New Year's resolution is to try to make more cards and post them. This one I've made for my Father-In-Law's birthday. Base card is baby blue in colour. Background images are "Celebrate" from the Hero Arts "Original Definitions" set and "Squiggle" from Lucy's Stamps. Foreground "Sea Horse" image is from Lucy"s Stamps. Have stamped Celebrate with tricolour Brilliance (Peacock) pad. Sea Horse stamped with Versa Color Turquoise pad. Squiggle stamped with Versa Color Cyan pad. Have also used this to go around the edges of the white card stock. Sea Horse image mounted on mint green cardstock. Have used clear kindyglitz on the corners of the sea horse image.
